From the President – Are you going?

We’re in the final stretch before the 2023 ACI Conference, and the question is, “Are you going?”
If you haven’t decided, let me throw some enticements your way. This year’s event is being held at Harveys Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nev. Noted as the third deepest lake in North America and the 10th deepest in the world, the location is a stunning haven for outdoor fun. It’s the type of place that should be on everyone’s travel bucket list.
Another reason to attend is – this isn’t the first rodeo for Aaron Meier and the team at the Nevada Department of Wildlife. In 2016, conference attendees were treated to an incredibly memorable conference across the street at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The 3-day event included a scenic cruise on a paddle-wheeler through Emerald Bay. And oh yeah! We also covered important topics like marketing interest in hunting and target shooting, digital marketing, changing trends in social media, recruitment, retention and reactivation (R3) and recognition of the best work across the country at the awards dinner.
This year will be nothing short of the same level of excellence, and it is guaranteed to be once again memorable. But hurry, you need to register and book your room soon to get the best deals. The early bird rate of $350 ($165 for guests) for the conference ends on June 9. And the special rate of $139 (plus $25 resort fee) for the hotel expires on July 3.
So, “Are you going?” I sure hope this helps motivate you to say yes and I, like so many of our colleagues, look forward to seeing you at the lake.
