Government Agencies and TikTok

By Blake Podhajsky, Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife Conservation
Government Technology magazine recently published an article about government agencies using TikTok. A large focus of the article was discussing how many states have banned TikTok on government devices and networks and the perceived security risks because of China etc.
The article showcases the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation’s popular TikTok account and how we continue to use the platform to engage with people, even though Oklahoma’s Gov. Stitt banned the platform on government devices and networks. ACI board member and ODWC social media specialist Sarah Southerland was quoted throughout. With the help of the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation, the ODWC continues to use the platform.
