News from the Board

ACI’s Board of Directors meets via Zoom every other month. Here are some of the items we discussed at our most recent meeting (Nov. 10).
2022 Conference
ACI returns to Nashville July 25-27, 2022. Conference Coordinator Jason Harmon has a few questions for members to help the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) prepare the best possible conference. Please click on this link and take a very brief (7 questions) survey so TWRA can get a feel for a head count and plan for a great time in Nashville. The survey also includes some follow-up info-gathering on agency marketing budgets. We will share the results of the survey in the next edition of The Balance Wheel.
Grants Committee
We hope you’ve read summaries of the R3 grants that ACI has awarded in recent years. Thanks to the leadership of Past President Jenifer Wisnewski, ACI has been able to secure grant funding to award to our member states to fund their R3 projects. To that end, the Board agreed to create a Grants Committee, whose job will be to pursue and administer grants that benefit ACI members. The Board will amend ACI’s bylaws accordingly.
BOD Vacancy
Board member Kyle Martens recently left his position with the Nebraska Forest Service. The Board will search for a replacement to complete Kyle’s term, which expires in 2022.
