RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Association for Conservation Information is an organization of natural resource conservation communicators dedicated to craft improvement, the exchange of new ideas and the discussion of current environmental and wildlife conservation issues, celebrating its 85th year, and

WHEREAS, the Nevada Department of Wildlife, led by Conference Coordinator Aaron Meier and his amazing team, hosted the 2023 conference at the fabulous Harveys Casino in Stateline, Nevada, and

WHEREAS, a warm and friendly welcome reception was enjoyed by all attendees complete with food, drink and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe, and

WHEREAS, after a warm welcome and overview of interesting Nevada facts, complete with entertainment provided by Aaron Meier and his kids, the conference got underway, and

WHEREAS, presenters exposed us to a variety of ways not only to gather data about our audiences but to put that data to effective use, and

WHEREAS, we learned about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in fish and wildlife conservation activities, and

WHEREAS, we learned tips for getting better drone videos, complete with an in-room presentation, and

WHEREAS, The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation and the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports provided informative updates on their work, which benefits us all, and

WHEREAS, presentations and panel discussions brought us up to date on media relations and social media issues, and

WHEREAS, conference attendees were allowed ample time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and recreational activities afforded by Lake Tahoe, and

WHEREAS, the annual ACI Auction raised $5,922 to help offset the costs of putting on the conference, while providing an enjoyable social activity for those in attendance, and

WHEREAS, the Hospitality Suite and break room were sources of camaraderie, amusement and networking.

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Association for Conservation Information, in a duly constituted and assembled meeting:

1. That we do hereby attest and record on behalf of the membership of ACI our love, esteem, respect and admiration for Aaron Meier and his energetic, efficient and knowledgeable group of hosts from the Nevada Department. of Wildlife.

2. That the Association for Conservation Information is a better organization having been able to gather in Stateline, Nevada by said organization.

3. That the members of the Association for Conservation Information will return to their home states recharged and inspired to deliver our messages of conservation in a way that is most appealing to our publics.

4. That we hereby record the sentiments of this resolution forevermore upon the minutes and records of the Association for Conservation Information.
